My Wife and I stumbled upon this documentary last night (its first airing) on KET and found it to be wonderful. The scenery was breathtaking, sound track was all Dave Matthews, and it had a good message on the conservation and history of the colorado river. Especially the lessons we have failed to learn from the Anasazi (?) indians and their past civilization in the area. It's worth checking out. The photographer/narrator could be a cool guest speaker for a future NPFF???J
Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk.
Follows a rafting expedition by author/anthropologist Wade Davis and renowned river advocate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Accompanied by their daughters, the journey is both a rite of passage for the young women and a dramatic commentary on the world's growing shortage of fresh water.
