Count me in Robby. I love the Cascades. So we have Challulah coming up, then Tallulah then Cascades? RF is also still running a good low level ... 400 ... and Brent is pushing the Dries ... feel like a kid in a candy store.

And it appears that M-R will have higher flows then the weekends. I have some vacation to use by the end of the year.

This is awesome!

--With the Cheoah running on Saturday and hopefully the Cascades running to, I want in on this trip the Cheoah is a blast and would love to get back on the Cascades. I've been on it one time at a low level and looking forward to trying it with more water.. Wes if you run the Cheoah / Cascades Saturday are you running the Tallulah Sunday? If so can I tag along with you..the finger smiley

From what I've read that 250 to 350 CFS is a good level for the Cascades and the report from Duke is they are release 300 CFS as of today,we may have the Cascades to look forward to this weekend. If this level is wrong please let me know.

Hey Mark,
I was just milling over this with Bethany. Looks to me like the Cascades have been running off of natural flow already. There is a creek (White Oak) in addition to the dam bypass of the lake up there that AW is touting. Therefore, if they release 300 or 350, then the add up could be 500 or 550 today. I'm not clear on that.

For the weekend, I guess there is no more rain in the forecast so it should be less then what it turns out to have run today.

I've personally seen it really high one time and it looked like a handful, but I don't recall the level. When we did it in May it was more in the 200 to 250 range as I recall and that was good cl. 4 steep creek'n.
