Roll session Wednesday night--Riptides

Hi ya'll,

A few of us are planning on getting together on Wednesday night at the boat ramp next to Riptides between 6:30 and 7 p.m. As usual, cocktail hour will begin at Riptides around 8 p.m. The water quality doesn't seem to be quite so bad at this location (as in, there is less visible brown foam here.................).

If this night doesn't work out for you, I believe Kim will most likely be there every night this week around 6 p.m.

Joey has some good news about potential summer roll session at a pool in LexVegas. Stay tuned for updates..........

Sounds great! I will plan to be there as well and bring some extra gear. If anyone needs any just let me know either beforehand or when we get out there.

Is anyone else headin down there any other times during the week?

If the creeks are a rockin', don't come a knockin' at Riptides.

If we get enough rain, the roll session will most likely be scratched.

Pardon me if this is a duplicate... I'm having trouble with the forum at the moment...
Maybe not a scratched session, just moved. I'm thinking the rain will be enough to get the Elkhorn above 500 in the morning, not sure if it will hold for the afternoon though. If it looks favorable, thinking we should consider moving to the Elkhorn. There are several nice rolling pools and bottom of rapids along the way.

That's exactly what I was thinking Wes. I'm hoping we get enough rain to run the Elkhorn tomorrow.

Fingers crossed.

Help! My boat done broke..........

I was rolling tonight and a couple of things kind of fell apart on my boat.

I lost a screw that holds my knee pad/thigh brace in place, but I think I can go to Home Depot to get a replacement screw for that, so that shouldn't be a problem.

The other problem, I'm not quite sure how to fix: Please excuse my ignorance on the terminology, but my foot foam block (for a lack of a better term) came away from the screws. It seems that I may need to remove the piece of foam that provides the bow support (the foam in between my legs--not sure what you call it), in order to remove the foot braces so that I am able to fix the problem. Is there anyone that can help me look at this tomorrow night at the roll session (regardless of where we end up rolling)?

Thanks bunches.
Bethany

I think it can be fixed without removing the bow support foam, if: 1) there is a short enough phillips head screw driver and 2) the screw anchors aren't stripped.

I'm bring a phillips drill bit, in case it can screw in with that, without removing the foam that provides the bow support. But I don't have a really short screw driver. The metal strips along the sides of the bow flex enough, and there's enough room, that it may be possible to get behind there with a short enough screw driver.

We do know that they are phillips head screws.
