River Description

The 3.3 mile section from Alexander to Alton has minimal gradient and this section may be skipped by using Alton as an alternate put-in. This is recommended especially if the stage is under nine feet. At stages above ten feet big river conditions start developing. The steepest mile is below Beans Mill. The take-out is at the bridge in Tenmile.<br />
