| Application Instructions: | A permit is required to float any section of the San Juan River between Montezuma Creek and Clay Hills. From Nov. 1 to the last day of Feb. the permit is free. From March 1- Oct. 31 there is a fee for the permit. The cost depends on the number of people and which stretch of the river you are floating. Call or write to the Monticello Field Office for a permit application. River office hours are from 8 am to 12 noon. |
