Hays County sheriff's deputies have identified a 60-year-old Kyle man they believe drowned Friday night after he dropped off his female companion at a Blanco River boat ramp.

Joseph Zaborowski had dropped the woman off at the ramp and went upstream Friday night to do more kayaking and exercising, according to the Hays County sheriff's office. The woman worried when he did not return and walked upstream, where she found his empty kayak. She then called officials who found the man but were unable to resuscitate him.

The Travis County medical examiner's office has ruled that Zaborowski died by accidental drowning, sheriff's deputies said.
