PROVO — Investigators have released the identity of the woman who drowned Thursday evening while tubing on the Provo River below Deer Creek Dam. Susan Dennis, 61, of Magna, was pulled from the river at approximately 5 p.m. She had been tubing with her granddaughter, said Dawn Larsen with Utah State Parks and Recreation. Bystanders and a Utah State Parks ranger performed CPR until an ambulance arrived and transported the woman to a nearby medical center, where she was pronounced dead, Larsen said. — Michael Gonda
