OHIOPYLE, Pa. —April 16, 2015 A body has been discovered at Ohiopyle State Park about 5 miles downstream from falls in the Schoolhouse Rapids area, park rangers confirmed Thursday. Officials did not release any further information, but said they have contacted the family of Michael Davila of Carnegie.

According to authorities in Fayette County, 20-year-old Davila climbed over an observation deck railing at Ohiopyle State Park on March 18 to have his picture taken but slipped on ice. He fell into the Youghiogheny River and went over the 20-foot Ohiopyle Falls below. earch efforts to find him stretched on for several days but were hampered by cold, rain and murky water conditions.
