Summary: May 29th, Erik Stern, 22, was pulled from the South fork of the Clearwater near Grangeville, Idaho. Although identified by the Idaho County Free Press as a kayaker, he was found in street clothes. According to friends at NRS, the river was cresting at 5000 cfs, way too high for a run. They think that he probably slipped and fell into the river while walking on shore. Perhaps there was a kayak on Mr. Stern's car. Anyone with more information on these accidents is urged to contact the Safety Editor.
