Summary: On July 10, 2004, 52-year-old Layton Ledgister was paddling a rented two-person kayak on the Upper Delaware River with his 13-year-old son. When their boat capsized, the boy was able to swim to shore. Mr. Ledgister, however, unsuccessfully tried to stay afloat and drowned.
