| Summary: | The second death of a kayaker in the Great Falls section of the Potomac River near Washington, DC, took place on October 19, 2004. Todd Andrew, 35, from Spearfish, SD, was on a cross-country paddling tour when the accident happened. On their fourth run of Great Falls, Andrew flipped below Grace Under Pressure. He missed some roll attempts and swam. He went river left of the Fingers and flushed into the lethal Subway. A week later, his body had not been found. |
