| Summary: | In July of 1986, 35 year old Anchorage woman disappeared underwater when the canoe she and a friend were paddling swamped, smashed into a rock, and flipped. The woman had taken a flatwater canoeing class but had ventured into Class II whitewater. Club members suspect her foot was caught between rocks.
