Local Clubs in the Lower Pacific

CA

Gold Country Paddlers
Lotus
Our main purpose within the club is to facilitate the networking of paddlers in Northern California for access to and enjoyment of safe and responsible boating.
River Touring Section, Angeles Chapter Sierra Club
Granada Hills
We lead canoe and kayak trips in central and southern California.
RTS Sierra Club San Fran Chapter
San Francisco
We have always had a strong conservation program with many active members ready to write a letter or attend a meeting to support the rivers that we boat. Some times we are the lead group on an issue and some times we join efforts with groups to help their efforts. The important thing is to make sure that there are rivers for us to boat, for our children to enjoy, and for all life that lives along its banks.
Sequoia Paddlers
Santa Rosa
The Sequoia Paddlers hosts program and outdoor meetings in Santa Rosa, California, and publishes a bimonthly newsletter. We offer trips, sponsor a weekly roll practice, have safety and instructional programs, and conduct various conservation projects. The Sequoia Paddlers is devoted to the promotion of paddlesports and waterway conservation. Our goal is to have fun - safely! The means to that end is through activities and education.

AW's original purpose since 1954 has been to distribute information among its Affiliate Clubs. AW's relationship with local clubs has provided the backbone for much of the river conservation and access work it accomplishes throughout the country. Over 100 clubs are now AW Club Affiliates and they are all doing great work on your behalf. If you don't belong to a club, consider joining one of the organizations found on this page.
