Wild and Scenic Film Fest Comes to Portland Dec 1
On Thursday, December 1st, Willamette Riverkeeper, Patagonia and REI will be hosting the Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Portland, and you're invited!
Make no mistake - the Wild and Scenic Film Fest is a call to action. Considered the largest film festival of its kind, this year's films combine stellar filmmaking and first-rate storytelling to inform, inspre and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities, while creating a positive future for the next generation. Filmgoers may find themselves transformed into a congregation of committed activists, dedicated to saving our increasingly threatened planet.
Come and enjoy 9 award-winning environmental and adventure films that illustrate the Earth's beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities are doing to protect the environment. The evening will also feature the premier of Willamette Riverkeeper's latest film produced by local filmmaker Tom Frisch. The evening will involve 2 hours of films plus a short intermission.
When: Thursday December 1st
Where: Bagdad Theater, SE Hawthorne and 37th in Portland
Time: Doors open at 6:00, films start at 7:00.
Tickets: $5 for students/youth (under 17); $8 for adults. Your ticke includes one free entry into a raffle drawing with prizes from Patagonia, REI, Osprey, Keen, Sierra Nevada Brewing and more! Ticket are available at the Portland REI store.
