Got a cool whitewater-related love story? Did you meet that special someone on the river? Nearly cause a breakup teaching your significant other to boat (yikes!)? Whether it's a cautionary tale, or a sappy soulmate search, we want you to submit your story and photos for our next edition of the American Whitewater Journal by Oct. 25th. Something tells us this could be a really cool issue! Based on the response last time we asked, there are a ton of cool stories out there on this topic just waiting to be told.

Best Runs for Advanced Paddlers

Here’s a chance to brag about your favorite Class V run. Whether it’s in your backyard or across the country, let us know why and how you fell for your favorite stretch of gnarr. Photos are a must for this topic, so start hounding your buddy with the fancy camera and pelican box, then sit down at the keyboard and tell us all about it. We’re on the edge of our seats!

Back by popular demand, Locals' Favorite highlights an AW member's favorite river, run, or playspot. If you've got a gem in your backyard that you wouldn't mind sharing with a few extra friends, write it up. Give us the details of where it is, when it runs, how to get there, and then tell us what's great about your favorite run and why visitors shouldn't miss it.
