Make a Special Contribution to American Whitewater on GiveBIG Day

If you've made a donation or become a member of American Whitewater in the past year, we thank you! Our work to keep rivers to conserve and restore America's whitewater resources and to enhance opportunities to enjoy them safely would not be possible without your support.

If your membership has lapsed, or you haven't yet donated to American Whitewater but you're thinking about doing it soon, there's a way that you can make your contribution go further. Mark your calendar for The Seattle Foundation's GiveBIG day, Wednesday, May 15th!

When you make an online gift to American Whitewater through The Seattle Foundation between midnight and 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on May 15, 2013, the Seattle Foundation will increase your donation! Last year, through this one-day online charitable giving event, supporters saw their donations increase by 14% thanks to GiveBIG's matching fund!

Having an office in Seattle where our work supports the goals of the foundation to "build a healthy, vibrant community and improve the quality of life of Washington state residents" allows us to participate in this opportunity. However you can still contribute no matter where you live and the funds will support our general program needs to protect more free-flowing rivers, restore flows, enhance access, and promote safe whitewater boating. Funds raised through this opportunity will be credited to your annual membership if you have not already contributed this year (if you donate at least $35).

What do you need to do?

STEP #1: Mark your calendar or set an alert reminding you to take action on May 15th.

STEP #2: Forward this message on, and let your paddling buddies know about this special opportunity to make their dollars go even further.

STEP #3: Anytime on May 15th, visit the Seattle Foundation's American Whitewater Web page and make a donation.

Thanks in advance! Learn more about GiveBIG...
