BLM Acquires Lolo Creek Access (ID)

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has successfully purchased a conservation easement to provide public access to the most popular take-out site for Lolo Creek in North Central Idaho. The site is located about 100 yards upstream from the Clearwater River. It is a large flat with some shade trees, plenty of parking space, and some nice grassy areas for camping.

The BLM does not intend to do any extensive development, but may gravel the access and parking area, and put in a vault toilet.

Lolo Creek has become a popular run for Northwest boaters. This site will enable boaters to enjoy the creek without trespassing on private land at the take-out.

There will not be any fees for use of the site.

You can let the BLM know your appreciation for their work on your behalf by writing a thank you letter to:
