EddyFlower Vertical Challenge supporting AW and First Descents

EddyFlower proudly presents the second annual EddyFlower Vertical Challenge. The challenge is simple: teams of 5 paddle as much gradient as possible between May 15th and June 15th. The competition gives back to the paddling community in two ways:

Drives new American Whitewater memberships to protect and restore America's rivers
All donations raised go directly to First Descents to provide cancer survivors with a free, week long kayak camp

At the end of the event, the team in each division with the most vertical feet is crowned champion and wins SIC prizes!

The Vertical Challenge opens at sunrise May 15 and closes sunset June 15, 2008
Rally a team: Open to all paddlers, from all states, of all skill levels
Teams compete for prizes in one of five divisions (Open, Class V, Class IV, Class III, Weekend Warrior)
We currently have over 870 eligible runs in 24 states

AW MEMBERSHIPS FOR COMPETITORS

EddyFlower, Front Range Paddling Association and American Whitewater have partnered to provide $10 American Whitewater membership’s to the first 100 competitors that register and take advantage of this special deal, a $25 savings.

FUNDRAISER FOR FIRST DESCENTS

EddyFlower has partnered with First Descents to raise money for a great cause. What better reason to paddle when every stroke you take raises money for young adults with cancer!

The goal is for each member on each team to raise as many donations as possible during the event for First Descents
The individual who raises the most donations for First Descents wins a new Dagger Nomad 8.5
