Savage River Releases Announced
2008 Savage River Whitewater Releases
In efforts to further the access of great whitewater in
Garrett County, the Adventure Sports Center International (ASCI) (with the help of many local
organizations and businesses), is excited to help facilitate the 2008 Savage River Releases.
Currently, the tentative release schedule is as follows:
Sunday, July 6; Sunday, Aug 3; Sunday, Aug 31
The release schedule is dependent on many factors
including, but not limited to, weather and temperature of the lake. Please return to our web site
to check for the latest update on the release schedule.
Savage River Release scheduled for Sunday, July 6 is
ON
Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.;
Volume: 1000 CFS
Parking is at the put-in off of Savage River Road below the Reservoir Dam.
You must sign an ASCI Liability
Waiver to put on the river,
(required by the UPRC and NewPage) you must be 18 or older, or have a parent present to sign the
waiver. Shuttle is provided by the
Adventure Sports Institute at Garrett College (donations are encouraged to help cover gas and labor
costs)

note: We are guests and stewards of
the Savage River Watershed Community, businesses and residents alike. Be courteous, be attentive
to your surroundings, leave no trace, help your fellow boaters, river guides, neighbors and
facilitators so we may have the opportunity to continue to enjoy one of nature's finest rivers in
its wildest form.
