November Volunteer of the Month Presented by Kokatat

American Whitewater would like to recognize John Cantrell as our November volunteer of the month.

Stacey Johnson, Gauley Fest volunteer coordinator, had this to say about John:

"John Cantrell has been volunteering at Gauley Fest for many years and has always been willing to help wherever we need him. Last year he showed up to Gauley Fest, saw that we needed additional support with directing cars, and offered to oversee parking for all of Saturday afternoon and into the evening.

This year was no different. He generously volunteered his services again for Saturday but when he noticed the huge influx of cars Friday night he offered to help at the gate that night as well. John is also wonderful in motivating his team so that everyone enjoys their two hour shift. With a smile always on his face, John gererously gives of his time so that everyone can have a positive Gauley experience!"
