The Carolina Canoe Club is located in North Carolina, providing a resource for paddlers of all kinds - whitewater, flatwater, and oceanwater. We have over 700 members in North Carolina and other states who paddle anywhere you can find good water to paddle.
Associated Projects
- Cheoah River Management
AW and regional paddling clubs spent 5 years relicensing the dam on the Cheoah and scored a huge environmental and recreational victory.
- Catawba Relicensing
The relicensing of a string of dams on the Catawba River could restore the Great Falls of the Catawba, and bring massive public benefits throughout the watershed.
- Tuckasegee Relicensing
AW signed a settlement calling for new dam releases, sweeping conservation measures, new access, and the removal of Dillsboro Dam.
