Welcome! We're the Loma Prieta Paddlers, the local Sierra Club whitewater activity section for Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, CA. Most club members are whitewater kayakers, although a few of us are canoeists, rafters, inflatable kayakers, and/or sea kayakers. We welcome all kinds of whitewater boaters, but at the moment most of the club's activities focus on whitewater kayaking.

The club's purposes are:

to coordinate whitewater trips
to serve as a meeting place for boaters
to promote river safety
to improve paddling skills
to organize whitewater races
to promote river conservation
