I'm going to have to agree with the boater below, this is really a bit tougher than being a generic class III-IV stream. The upper half is more that rating but the lower half begins to approach class V. This is because (at least with the water level I ran this summer) the mile plus of class IV rapids have preferred lines that are offset and you are practically forced to run less desirable lines as a result. Perhaps if the river was running a bit lower that day it would have been more forgiving.
