A group of CincyPaddlers finally made the trip to the Flatrock River to check it out. We had no idea what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a river so close to home. At 550 cfs, the ledges provided plenty of playspots. A swift current, combined with rocks and trees poking out into the river provided endless opportunities to practice eddying out and peeling in. It was a blast at 550 cfs. We'll be watching the weather and stream gauges for an increase in the flow. We're looking forward to trying the Flatrock at a grand or more.
