As of 10/29/09 the sieve at Suckhole now has wood in it again. Be wary as it had recently been
cleared out from high flows but has been replaced again. Edit

On 7-1-09 our party had a boat stuck at the rock at Suck Hole. True to its name it sucked in the
boat and it was jammed. It took us three hrs to remove it. Many thanks to the Harrington Manor for

After three years of being full of wood and having almost no flow suction, the recent series of
freeze and thaw has dislodged all of the wood, leaving the sieve wide open and taking in quite a
lot of water. Just to be clear THE SIEVE IN SUCKHOLE IS OPEN I keep bumping this because it's very

1000 cfs is a conservative max. This past weekend I am confident I have found an appropriate max
somewhere below 3800 and 5.5 ft on the gauge. A few winters ago I had a successful trip down all
the rapids at 5.5, looking for more water as we were running in slalom boats. Earlier this week I
figured more water the better and we walked both the falls and swallow tail due to massive holes
and then we were run off the river just before suck hole in part because of the some 1000 cfs
addition after Muddy crk. It was just to much to run blind or scout because the holes were to
massive and rapids to long. Edit

180 is minimum
450 is medium
600 is juicy
1000 is one heck of a ride

its at 450 right now, should hold in the mid 200's for the weekend, which means lots of sweet
boofs

The hard rapids actually start well upstream of the suggested putin. If you have an exploratory
