This is a quick list of four changes that most locals have noted over the past five years. Please feel free to add to or ammend this list. #1)1st Drop/ Putin; Rocks have been moving in the middle of drop for several years creating a tough to avoid piton spot right above the final 2 slots. #2) 4th Drop (the 6'-8' ledge drop right after the big cascade) there is wood. It's in the left side of bottom ledge which used to be a weird/fun wall boof. <Right of center is the prefered line now.> #3) Worlds Ugliest; The large boulder at the bottom right, which creates the pillow, has lost a small chock stone on its bottom left corner. This gives the rock more of an undercut appearance. <The rapid is still run the same as before and this change seems to be fairly neutral, with some paddlers seeing it as an improvement.> #4) Rainbow Room/Double Boof; The seive at the bottom seems to be pulling more flow and the exit has become tighter. The rocks that form the seive area seem to be moving a little with every high water episode. <IMO the drop has become more difficult and dangerous, but it is still very runnable, setting safety at the seive is recommended.> Now go lose some gradient ;-)
