2008-07--24 WARNING. There is a sweeper just before the pull-out at Jordan bridge. A gravel bank on river left forces you to river right where there is a tree trunk sticking out over the river. The trunk (or branch) is stripped of bark, about 6 inches in diameter, and about 15 inches above the water. The current is very fast and will try to pull you under the sweeper. In our party of four, three of us, all in inflatable kayaks, got caught by the sweeper and capsized. Our fourth person, in a small hard-shell kayak made it through. Plan to hug the gravel bank, or walk around this section. And always wear a life jacket, no matter how tame the river seems!
