I live in Raleigh, NC. I paddle mostly rivers in the Southeast. I paddle kayaks and canoes. I started my paddling career when I was a teenager. I paddled rafts and funyaks. In college, I took classes in whitewater canoe and whitewater raft guide (Yes, I got PE credit for them, GO WOLFPACK). When I got out of college, I feel in love with tandem and solo canoeing. I paddled mostly flatwater swamps and rivers in Eastern North Carolina. It combined my skills in orienteering and paddling. I now whitewater kayak. You can find me most weekends year round paddling with Alisa (my wife) and Kevin (my brother).

For me, it is not all about the rapids or the river. It is the great people I meet along the way.
