Abstract

More than 50 years ago American Whitewater was founded on guiding principles that include conservation and stewardship of the wilderness paddling experience, an experience defined by the rivers of the North Cascades. From October 2007 to March 2008 American Whitewater conducted an internet-based survey to provide a quantitative assessment of the quality and popularity of the rivers in the region.
