Photos assigned to wrong author

Just uploaded two photos

Entrance Rapid.jpg #40263

Twilight.jpg #40264

They are not showing up in the list of my photos. Looks like they were assigned to David Hamlet. Coincidently, there is a new photo of Spring Creek, TN put up by David.

Please have those photos (the two of Overflow) reassigned to me (Alex Harvey).

Thanks, Alex

The two photos have been removed from public access. Matt can track them down in the database to get them unremoved and assigned correctly.

The two photos have been reassigned to you, Alex, and undeleted.

Matt, thanks, I see them now in my photos.

Is there a glitch with editing photos?

I tried to edit the information for the photos (entrance rapid is mistakenly assigned to Alabama, doh!),. I made the change to the correct state, clicked Update photo/video, the page refreshed and the change seemed to take. But when I went to my photos and clicked on the photo to have a look, the change did not take.

Yeah, there probably is a pretty sizable glitch. (Nearly all of David's photos, by the BTW, were deleted from view.) In any case, I reassigned the photo to GA.

What's the big picture with this glitch? Are photo changes not taking place all the time or just sometimes AND is the author getting reassigned incorrectly or just the first problem?

It's tough to say. Photos are still being deleted without warning. Sometimes it's happening en masse--I had a ST volunteer who had about 11 out of 21 recently uploaded photos disappear when he went to look at his adopted reach. I'm not sure about the reassignment of photos. If it happens much, that'll be a big problem--it'll be tougher to fix, because we won't necessarily know who's the real author.

Matt, when you go in to fix them, what author is the photo assigned to?

Sorry, I don't remember. When/if it happens again, I'll let you know.
