I looked at the gauge from the Canyon/Gorge section of the BSF and it reads only 474.

The gauge for the section of the Cumberland below the Falls is the 2000ish number.

Are they related, i.e. the BSF will be reading 1000-2000 by the weekend?

Thanks,

elizabeth

For some reason, when the water is going up... the AW pages don't display the readings.

I usually go straight to the source...

I forgot to add...

The gauge we're going by is "SOUTH FK CUMBERLAND RIVER AT LEATHERWOOD FORD, TN"

You can get an idea of what that gauge is going to do by watching and adding together the "CLEAR FORK NEAR ROBBINS, TN" & the "NEW RIVER AT NEW RIVER, TN" which come together to form the Big South Fork of the Cumberland. The put-in for the Gorge is at the confluence of these 2 rivers.

There is also a gauge further up in the New watershed, the "NEW RIVER AT CORDELL, TN" which will tell you what's coming to the lower New gauge.

This makes it all a little more predictable than just watching one gauge.

I am up for a trip. Just need to know where to meet? I have never ran the BSF and am not familiar with the area.

If you use the AW page just click on "details". The Graff shows whats going on. It had me questioning things myself till i hit the link.
