WooHoo! Time to stay tuned to the Gauley River @ Craigville USGS gauge to catch the Gauley. It's running HUGE right now!

Summersville Lake is at summer pool New

From now until Gauley season, the Corps of Engineers will be maintaining the lake at summer pool.
This means that the COE will be releasing thru Summersville Dam approximately the same cfs that is coming into the lake.
Today the flow on the Gauley at Craigsville is 3200 cfs, the release from the dam is 4300 cfs and the Meadow is adding 1080 cfs.

I thought summer pool was where they kept the lake level high, thus not releasing as so much.
