Some of you may have received the AW Action Alert about this - please take a minute (really - only 60 seconds max) and add your voice to help protect our ever vanishing wilderness.

For anyone that loves wild rivers in Idaho, please please please take a couple minutes to comment on a plan to open 5+ million acres of Idaho's 9 million acres of roadless lands to road building, mining, and logging. It is super easy (we have a snazzy new letter writing tool): [www.americanwhitewater.org]. Click on the take action button.

At risk are rivers like the South Fork Salmon, White Sand Creek, Little North Fork Clearwater, and even big roadside rivers like the Lochsa and NF Clearwater that have scenery and water quality dominated by upstream and adjacent roadless areas.

Check out the video too which features boating, climbing, skiing and hiking in roadless areas.

FYI, Alex Zendel (Knoxville) did some great volunteer work with us to help us figure out which whitewater rivers flow through roadless lands. He earned many karmic shuttles and frosty takeout beverages.
