Lewis County PUD completed construction of the Cowlitz Falls Dam in 1994 which included the destuction of significant whitewater resources and boater access. As mitigation for this action FERC required the construction of a new boater access point. Lewis County PUD has yet to seriously initiate planning efforts for this new access point.
