Muddy at Flood


Description: This is a photgraph of the Paper Mill bridge put in. It had rained the previous day and all night. Dinver McClure, Jason Urey, Michael Kennell and myself were a part of this party. Those of you who have paddled Muddy know how high this is. Usually there is 15-18 feet below the bottom of the bridge to the water level below.

Dinver and Jayson made it to just above the Gorge before they wisely got out and hiked back to the put in. Mike and I made it to below Snap Falls. Mike ended up swimming . He made it to river right bank, but lost a new black Hurricane and paddle.
Trees(18 inch) in diameter were floating down the swollen creek.This was definitely and epic attempt and not very wise decision.
