For those who wish to paddle pennington creek, you can wish in one hand an sh*t in the other and the sh*t will probably fill up first. This photo was taken after the floods of 2007, very seldom does the creek reach levels that are rideable or stay at those levels long enough to get a ride in. So for the novice paddler, tubers, & canoers, may i suggest something a little more commercial like the Lower Mountain Fork. But for those that manage to catch a high flow, remember, the easement ends at the riparian and on the stream bed so have respect for the land owners, keep the noise down, leave nothing behind, take nothing but memories, and dont turn this creek into disney land.
