Description: Just above Havasu Creek, around Mile 156, a huge cloud of dust appeared early in the morning. At first I thought a gust of wind had caused this, but the winds are usually calm in the morning in the Grand Canyon. In fact, a large amount of rock had just let loose above river right onto the talus covered riverbank. This photo is looking upstream.
