Description: This is the first major drop on Three Fork Creek at a very low water level (I would say minimum). The gauge was reading 4.1 near Grafton when we put in. I would say this is a good minimum for fun with some scraping to be had. Look for 6-7+' for a really nice level. There was wood in the bridge on the approach earlier in the year, but it is gone now. I would say the most dangerous part of this rapid are the people partying here during warm weather months. Watch out for flying rocks and I wouldn't recommend parking here even though it seems to be a better put-in than Rt 92 for action. At higher levels the hole can get pretty mean. I would consider this a class III at lower levels and IV- when it's high. The best action starts here and continues down stream where it becomes pretty continuous boogie water with at a few pretty big ledges thrown in for fun. The water quality is not the best, but the scenery is mostly nice with the exception of a few broken down hunting trailers. Have fun and please be kind to the locals.
