Actually, this rapid is named "El Huevo Grande" in honor of the big egg-shaped splitting the river at the entrance. Alternatively, it has been called "Psychedelia" because of the nearly transcendental experience one has in here at very high flows. The photo depicted here only shows the entrance, and very low flow.
