Phillip aka Bubba and Meagan Sisk are American Whitewater's volunteers of the month for March 2008.  This couple from Lexington, Kentucky help each year to make the National Paddling Film Festival a great event.  Phillip has been a long time festival volunteer and has coordinated much of the National Paddling Film Festival road show events for the past few years. Meagan jumped in at the last minute to make sure all the festival attendees had full bellies both nights at the festival.  This year was the 25th National Paddling Film Festival and the event raised over $3,000 for American Whitewater's stewardship efforts.  AW would like to thank everyone who volunteered to make the event such a success.

Dam operations on the West Branch Montreal could allow for scheduled whitewater releases enhancing paddling opportunities in the Lake Superior area. To explore this possibility an internet flow survey was conducted between the spring of 2006 and 2007. Results of the survey provided information on optimal flows for whitewater recreation and we are excited to share our final report.
