Old browser warning

Site look funky?  Your browser is either Internet Explorer (hit refresh (F5) several times due to a bug in Microsoft's code that we can't work around) or is 10 years old and standards-based layouts and styling confuse it.   Consider updating.  One excellent option is Mozilla Firefox, versions of which are available for Linux, Mac and Windows. Safari 1.0+ and IE 6.0+ are also supported.

Account This is what the tree looked like coming up to it. From the center of the river you can see that it spans the entire river. The side of the river is difficult to eddy out in with oar boats because of the heavy brush and swift current. The branches still have pine needles intact. The far river left side, which looked runnable for kayaks from upstream, has a log behind it running on a diagonal from the left and looks like it channels you into a piece of sheet metal. (Sorry for the blurry pic, it was a disposable camera). From this shot you can see the branches reaching down into the water under the tree.
