Site look funky?  Your browser is either Internet Explorer (hit refresh (F5) several times due to a bug in Microsoft's code that we can't work around) or is 10 years old and standards-based layouts and styling confuse it.   Consider updating.  One excellent option is Mozilla Firefox, versions of which are available for Linux, Mac and Windows. Safari 1.0+ and IE 6.0+ are also supported.

Account Sometimes you just gotta.......and Jeremy Orr did. Jason Banks has a nice boof at Gorilla Constrictor, the most demanding rapid on Johnnies Creek. Jeremy Orr runs Cliff Right. Johnnies Creek is known for its tight, technical rapids. Well, except for the Big Slide. The Little Slide can develop a fairly sticky hole at higher water levels. Here's Tia McNabb running the slide. Johnnies Creek is known for its tight and technical rapids, but there's always an exception to every rule. Oddly enough, the tightest and most technical rapid is the one after The Big Slide.....Gorilla Constrictor! Its a fun drop if you don't drag your knuckles against the jagged shale wall. Its a fun drop if you don't drag your knuckles against the jagged shale wall. Bang your hand against the jagged shale wall and you'll understand how this rapid gets its name. Bang your hand against the jagged shale wall and you'll understand how this rapid gets its name. Hit the left side of the rooster-tail at the top then hold on for the auto-boof at the bottom. Even Todd can do it.... The Little Slide is actually steeper than this photo makes it look. This is one of the last rapids before the confluence with the Little River. Its a fun bouncy little jumble of small boulders. Well, that is if you don't hit the FU rock and bounce backwards down the left cliff wall. The rapid after Johnnies Creek Falls is the River Right Slot. There is usually some sort of wood stuck in it, so scouting is a must. This is Todd exiting the slot. Most of the rapids on Johnnies Creek are tight, technical and close together. In other words: FUN!
