SEASON: Winter rain storms. Generally best when rivers are moderately high.
ACCESS: The put-in is at Klahowya Campground (those looking for more action at the start can put-in at the upstream of the two bridges, at Highway 101 mile 212.6, and run "Bridge Drop"). The campground is located at Highway 101 mile 211.9 on the north side of the road. To reach the take-out, travel west to Highway 101 mile 206.4 and turn south on Hillstrom Rd. and follow it to the boat launch access.
DESCRIPTION:
Several boulder gardens that form relatively easy rapids.

There is an old USGS gauging station (stn. 12041500, 1917-1980) with an intact staff gauge upstream (see directions for finding it on the Upper Soleduck description). For the most part you can check the visually along the shuttle road and from several bridges that cross the Soleduck. For those trying to assess the run from a remote location check the Hoh River gauge (look for it to be up around 4000).
