Geoduck Creek to Kimta Creek (Gorge)

Class V
3 Miles
Max Gradient 275 fpm

River Description

Located deep within the old-growth forests of Olympic National Park and twelve miles up a hiking trail, the North Fork Quinault Gorge is a true wilderness run.

Although the 3 mile gorge section ends at Kimata Creek, paddlers can continue on down through 9 more miles of class II whitewater to reach the North Fork trailhead.

Check out the North Fork Quinault Gorge page on Jason Rackley's site. There are several photos along with a good description that includes the logistics. Lat/long listed below are very approximate.

During the floods last October the entire river changed. Everything is still clean, but none of the
big rapids are the same as they have been in previous years.
