This stream is actually named Calloway Creek
The DeLorme "Ky Atlas and Gazetteer" and possibly other references list the name of this stream as "Galloway" in error. With the mouth of this stream directly across the KY River from Boone Creek and exiting it's spectacular gorge just downstream of Fort Boonesboro, there is little doubt - at least among us locals - that this creek was named Calloway by Daniel Boone himself.
