River Description

The Cazadero Segment is a 2 mile bypass reach from the Faraday Diversion Dam (river mile 27.9) to Estacada Reservoir (river mile 26.4). This is a short run featuring 3-5 major rapids which at low flows are technical II/III and at higher flows become class IV/V.

Gauge Description:

Under the current license minimum instream flows in this section are 100 cfs. Spills into this bypass reach occur when outflow of the North Fork Dam (located upstream) exceeds 5200 cfs (the capacity of the downstream Faraday Powerhouse).
