Gauge Information

Gauge Description:

This gauge is on Clear Creek right near the confluence of Little Clear Creek. Generally, this creek will run for 24 hours after a decent rain event of 1" or more. For a better feel when there, check the bottom of the creek by hiking up Clear Creek on river left for 150 yards. How it looks there is how it will be up on the main drops.

Paddled Sat, Jan 26, 2002. At put in I put my paddle in the water at the deepest spot and found the water just covered up my blade - 16 inches. As the water is flat and the bottom rather uniform, I think this could be a good rule of thumb.

I would call this level minimum, although I've been told it's been run lower. Wouldn't want it too much higher either.

You do not want to get on this stream when it is too high.
