Gauge Information

Gauge Description:

Boulder Creek near Orodell

Or: Call Watertalk at 303/831-7135 Division 1 Station 9 - Boulder Creek at Orodell.

The lower reaches of Boulder Creek don't run until Barker Reservoir fills up and crests the dam. Expect it to start running in late May or early June, as much as a month after other nearby runs have decent flow. Don't bring your favorite boat at low flows(<250cfs), the rocks are pretty jagged. Overhanging trees are the biggest hazard at flows of 500cfs or higher.

Low: 150 - 300 cfs
Med: 300 - 500 cfs
High: 500 cfs and up
