Gauge above is located well downstream on the South Fourche LaFave.

Visual inspection method: Use the NFR 45 crossing to gauge Trace Creek (~.5 miles above Bear Creek confluence). Go to the low point of the crossing (just east of where the culverts pass under the roadway) and measure water depth.

Minimum: 6 inches Optimal: 12 to 16 inches
