At our last Danville Utilities Commission Meeting (June 23rd) I requested that the City Electric Department establish a website and notify the public when they know they will release water so the Kibler boaters could plan and take advantage of dam releases. This information can now be found on the Danville Utilities website - www.danvilleutilities.com Click on Pinnacles Water Release Schedule. It doesn't appear to be detailed yet, but certainly better than nothing. Let me know how it is working and what we might do to improve it. Good Luck! Hope to join you soon for a Kibler release. ~Bob Schasse bobschasse@comcast.net Edit

The hydroplant late last year( 06' ) started selling there power so this has changed there generating schedule. I hope this doesn't change there commitment to paddlers and they continue to have recreational releases throughout the summer on Saturdays.

From Boatertalk:

It usually has to be 90+ degrees in Danville for the Power Plant at Kibler Valley to run - you can call the power plant on those days at 1-276-251-5141 to see if they are releasing. If you can catch it at 10,000 it's real good, I would say 7500 is a minimum.
